Making a good income to support his children isn’t the only criteria for a father’s care. A caring father also provides the emotional and spiritual needs of his children. He creates an atmosphere of love and tenderness for them at home. And he supports them in any trouble outside the family while setting appropriate boundaries.
A study of school-aged children found that when they had good relationships with their fathers, they were less likely to experience depression, exhibit disruptive behavior, or to lie. Overall, they were also more likely to exhibit prosocial behavior and more self-control.
