CIRCLE #1: Involvement

The involved father takes an active part in the life of his child. At the same time, he allows the child to be a part of his life. A hands-on father makes all the difference in raising a well-adjusted, healthy child. Good father-child relations are associated with an absence of emotional and behavioral difficulties in adolescence and greater academic motivation.

Children with fathers who are present in their lives are less likely to become criminals. And that early father-child bond helps protect them from developing mental health problems later on. The more a father is present in his child’s life, the more likely it is that his child will do well in school.
